The insurer AMIG has reported its results for the year ending June 30, 2011. At 273 million EGP (46 million USD), gross premiums were up by 7%. Net profits rose by 8.5% at 25.4 million EGP (4.2 million USD) while underwriting results reached 31.5 million EGP (5.2 million USD).
These figures have been disclosed shortly after AM Best granted a B + + rating for its financial strength and a BBB + for its credit rating with stable outlook. AMIG becomes the only Egyptian insurer to be rated.
