Apr 2011 The department of employment and vocational training has begun a revision of the law on the compensation of the workers having had accidents. The new provisions correct the shortcomings of a law dating back to the Protectorate era. Despite some changes, the text remained largely unsuited to the current environment.
The bill is currently submitted to the second chamber’s commission of legislation and human rights for discussion. Trade unions are skeptic as to a swift enforcement of the text.
