Mar 2013 Non life insurance has particularly grown in the Philippino archipelago in 2012, generating an overall gross premium of 2.9 billion USD, an increase of 37% in one year. These figures exceed the expectations of the sector which targeted premiums of 2.46 billion USD. The tax reduction from 5% to 2% has partly contributed to this increase.
