The Senegalese Insurance Companies' Federation (FSSA), has outlined its balance sheet regarding the ten-year application of the CIMA Code (Conférence Interafricaine des Marchés d'Assurances). The impact of this measure has somewhat triggered a revitalization of the market whose turnover rose from 20 to 60 billion FCFA (37 to 111 million USD). The previous decade was equally marked by the disappearance of two companies and the creation of five new entities.
