The Hamburg Mannheimer Company, a subsidiary of Ergo which in turn is a subsidiary of Munich Re, is covering a major part of the risks of the 2006 World Cup, of which it is also one of the six official sponsors. The risk pertaining to the event cancellation alone is covered up to 158 million EUR (191.1 million USD).
