Mar 2006 Cairo was the venue to the fifteenth Insurance Congress held on February 26, 2006 and entitled: “Towards a more effective insurance covers against major catastrophes in developing countries.”
The meeting focused its proceedings on Risk-Based Capital (RBC), an approach designed by an American agency, the National Association of Insurance Companies (NAIC), which consists in measuring the company's minimum capital required for the company to do business in due process.
