Lion Assurance, a 300% increase of the premiums’ volume

Lion Assurance Company wrote premiums worth more than 2 billion UGX (1.1 million USD) in 2005, that is, a growth of up to 300% compared with 2004. With 70% shares held by the Zimbabwean T.A. Holdings, Lion, which proceeded to an increase of its capital by 7 billion UGX (3.85 million USD), aims to be ranked among the top five companies in the industry with 19 players.
