First estimates of floods in the South-East region

A first assessment of the floods which devastated the southeast of the country reported 44 deaths and over 60,000 displaced people.

With 27 deaths, the State of Espirito Santo, neighboring Rio De Janeiro, is the most affected one. The local authorities consider these rains as the strongest of the last 90 years.
