One Alliance intends to take advantage of growth in Africa

Following the steps of major insurance groups operating on the continent and keen on expansion, One Alliance has expressed its interest in the African market. The company is studying the prospect of getting established in these markets, targeting in particular the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and South Sudan.
The South African insurer would be keen on setting up subsidiaries mainly focused on the sale of property damage policies. One Alliance is also seeking license for One Re, the reinsurance entity whose underwritings will be confined to the African continent.
