Progression of the Lebanese insurance market in 2012

According to the latest report from the association of insurance companies in Lebanon (ACAL), the turnover of the insurance market amounted to 1.3 billion USD in 2012, against 1.2 billion USD in 2011 , that is an increase of 8.7%.

Life (370 million USD) and non-life (925 million USD) insurance have reported a respective growth of 3.3% and 11%. The accumulated net profits of the entire market grew by 9.9%. They went up from 111 billion USD in 2011 to 122 billion USD in 2012.
