Feb 2014 AM Best has granted an "A" (Excellent) rating to Medgulf Bahrain and its subsidiary in Saudi Arabia for their financial strength and an "a" to their credit rating. The insurer’s Lebanese subsidiary obtains respectively “B++” (Good) and “bbb +" ratings, with stable perspective for both ratings.
According to AM Best, the company has a very good level of venture capital, a strong business portfolio, and outstanding operating results.
Medgulf Bahrain is a major insurer in the Middle East with a leading position in Lebanon. In Saudi Arabia, the company is the kingdom’s second insurer, with premiums written by the Group amounting to 1.1 billion USD in 2012.
