Mar 2014 A new life product designed for low-income populations and marketed by Jubilee Insurance, will provide capital in case of death of the person on which the income of the family is based. Jubilee, Kenya’s second life insurer, behind British American Insurance, has joined Citadel Micro Insurance and Umande Trust to develop and sell this product. The premium which varies from 450 to 4150 KES (5.2 to 48.7 USD) per year, depending on options, is payable by mobile phone.
