Mar 2014 Representatives of British insurer Prudential Life met early February in Abuja with members of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). Prudential, which has expedited this mission to Nigeria to study the establishment procedures in the country, does not rule out the possibility to settle there.
With the exception of a recent investment worth 5 million USD in a Ghanaian insurer, the British insurer has little interest in Africa with most of its investments being conducted in Asia.
