Apr 2014 Indian insurers are expecting an increase in demand for computer related coverage by banks. Guarantees, currently available to financial institutions, do not necessarily contain protection against computer fraud, especially from the internet.
In 2012-2013, 62 banks have spotted more than 26 600 cases of online fraud resulting in losses of 275 million USD, mainly internet transactions, including payments by credit card.
