The Insurance department has showed his support for African insurers consultant union (SACA) on its request for review of the rate set for the repair of damage in case of car accident.
According to Mamadou Deme, Director of Insurance, "this rate should be revised".
Set at 1 750 FCFA (3.6 USD) since 1982, insurers require that the hourly rate of labor mechanic is brought to 4 000 FCFA (8.3 USD).
