Phoenix shareholders have approved a capital increase of 5 billion TZS (3.8 million USD). This increase makes Phoenix the market's best capitalized insurer. The profit posted in 2009 amounted to 4.23 billion TZS (3.2 million USD) the majority of which has been reinvested in the company.
