Jul 2014 The Catlin group, specialist in the insurance and reinsurance of fire, accidents and miscellaneous risks, announced Catlin Middle East’s entry in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This office is the tenth entity set up by the group in the Asia-Pacific region.
It will offer facultative reinsurance solutions for ceding companies located in the Gulf countries, Africa and part of Asia.
In early May 2014, Catlin Middle East was authorized to operate as Lloyd's syndicate. Underwritings shall be made on behalf of Catlin Syndicate 2003, Lloyd's most important syndicate, in terms of premium volume.
