During the 2nd Arab conference on disaster risk reduction held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Minoru Kiuchi, ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, said that "Japan will continue to provide technical support and stregthen cooperation for disaster risk management" between his country and arab nations.
The latter are relying on Japan experience, quite qualified in that, to bring necessary know-how to reduce losses in case of disaster.
Climate change and rapid urbanisation have made Middle East, in particular, more vulnerable to natural hazards.
