Al Ahlia has posted a net profit in high progression

The insurer Al Ahlia has generated a net profit of 2.02 million BHD (5.3 million USD) for 2009 compared to 0.24 million BHD (0.64 million USD) in 2008. The underwriting result for 2009 amounts to 1.91 million BHD (5 million USD), that is, a 7.7% progression over a year. Al Ahlia has seen its gross premiums grow by 13.9% at 13.45 million BHD (35.8 million USD).
