The country has dethroned South Africa as the head of the continent's most active economies as its insurance industry grew by 15% in 2013 (1.5 billion USD of premiums) while its penetration rate does not exceed 0.5% indicating, hence, a strong potential.
ZimRe intends to avail its expertise and capital to a partner willing to invest about 100 million USD. ZimRe’s participation will be a minority one.
