Mar 2015 The life insurance market in Lebanon recorded premiums of 443.7 million USD in 2014, an increase of 5.5% compared to 2013, reports Al-Bayan newspaper.
With respective market shares of 17.7%, 13.6% and 13.1%, Metlife Alico (78.4 million USD), Bancassurance (60.6 million USD) and Allianz SNA (58.2 million USD) occupy the podium of life insurance companies in terms of premium volume.
It should be noted that, of a total of 34 companies operating in this segment, 21 ended the year 2014 with an increase in their turnover, 10 with a decrease and 3 with a steady volume of premiums.
