The Compagnie Algérienne d’Assurance et de Réassurance (CAAR) and the Crédit Populaire d’Algérie (CPA) have established a partnership agreement introducing the payment of insurance premiums by Interbank card, the first move of its kind in the Algerian insurance industry.
Only 10 CAAR agencies will, in the first place, be equipped with electronic payment terminals. CPA has already concluded similar agreements with other service providers or traders.
The bank is willing to promote banking services by limiting the movement of cash and by increasing Algerian public confidence in the financial system.
