Nov 2015 AVENI-RE, private reinsurer based in Côte d'Ivoire, celebrated its tenth anniversary on November 21, 2015. Specialized in life and non life insurance, the reinsurer showed as at December 31, 2014, a share capital of 8 billion FCFA (14.82 million USD), four times more than it had at its establishment in 2005.
In ten years, the turnover of the company increased from 2.6 billion FCFA (4.76 million USD) to 19.196 billion FCFA (35.57 million USD). During the same period, AVENI-RE has paid 23 billion FCFA (42.62 million USD) of losses to its ceding companies while ensuring its shareholders an annual average return of 15%.
