SCOR more engaged in the fight against climate risks

Having a longstanding commitment in the fight against global warming, SCOR has announced having ceased all its business with companies which are deriving more than 50% of their revenue from coal. Now, the group is no longer investing in this kind of polluting firms.

Very active in the fight against the greenhouse gas emissions, the French group has, over the past five years, spent 930 million EUR (985 million USD) in low-carbon projects. The company has also supported numerous research projects in ecological technologies.

By 2020, SCOR intends to reduce by 15% the carbon intensity of its activities. Meanwhile, 40% of its employees work on sites covered by a certified environmental management system (ISO, EMAS, HQE).
