Feb 2016 The Algerian insurance market achieved a turnover of 130.82 billion DZD (1.22 billion USD) in 2015, up by 2.2% compared to the previous year.
The sector is dominated by non life risks, which represents 90% of the overall turnover.
By itself, the motor class of business accounted for 50.6% of the total written premiums in 2015 and 56% of the non life insurance premiums.
