Mar 2016 Leapfrog Investments, a private equity fund based in Mauritius, has acquired a majority share in UT Life Insurance. The operation has required the injection of 10 million USD in the capital of the company.
UT Life Insurance was held by UT Holding (92.87%), NSIA Insurance Company Ghana (3.31%), CDH Financial Holding (2.73%) and other minority shareholders.
The entrance of Leapfrog Investments in the capital of the insurer allows the latter to have a minimum capital in accordance with the legislation in force.
