Mar 2016 Three large-scale insurers are keen on cooperation with the Indonesian bank, CIMB. These are Allianz, Axa and Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Holdings. The three groups are interested in marketing their products through the distribution network of the bank in Asia. The final bids have been submitted to CIMB which reckons that it may be raising 200 million USD for an agreement over ten or more years.
According to the bank’s website, CIMB owns over 1000 agencies in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Cambodge.
