May 2016 Lloyd joined in March 2015 Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) from which it has been underwriting business in Middle East and North African region.
Ever since, ten syndicates and two London market representatives have been established there. Lloyd’s has brokered a cooperation agreement with Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) which provides for full exchange of information. This agreement is likely to promote transparency and better control over insurance and reinsurance operations.
