Vehicle insurance sticker will soon appear for cars and mopeds

Kamel Chibani, executive director of Tunisian federation of insurance companies (FTUSA), has confirmed the mandatory character of the vehicle insurance sticker as of next July. Delivered free of charge upon the underwriting or the renewal of the insurance contract, the vehicle insurance sticker shall be stuck on the windshield of the cars and displayed in visible fashion on mopeds. It shall be in pink color and drafted in Arabic.

The main characteristics of the insurance contract shall be mentioned on the traffic tax tag. This decision has been taken by decree of the minister of finance in order to simplify police control and counter insurance failure. Today, nearly 10% of motorists are driving without insurance.
