Jun 2015 Following the agreement signed on May 18, 2015 between Axa and Blablacar, carpool advocates will be benefiting from free insurance starting from the month of June 2015, a cover offering a double advantage.
It ensures arrival at destination for all passengers in the vehicle in case of mechanical failure. It also offers the possibility of sharing driving for the passengers using the carpool.
With no statistics for this new product, the insurer says it can not calculate the exact cost of the service that will be fully supported by Axa and Blablacar.
This insurance will be launched simultaneously in France and Britain but it is not going to appear in Germany, Italy and Spain before the beginning of 2016.
