The American car manufacturer Tesla launches into insurance

The car manufacturer Tesla has partnered with insurers in Hong Kong and Australia to cover the electric cars it produces.

This program, called "InsuremyTesla" is expected to provide solutions tailored to the particularities of electric cars.

Tesla has estimated that the standard motor insurance covers sold by traditional insurers do not respond optimally to this new type of vehicle, which leads to over-pricing.

The covers developed in partnership with QBE Hong Kong and Axa in Australia offer new replacement services for Tesla cars of less than three years as well as the insurance of the wall connector or the choice of the authorized repairer.
The price of this insurance is about 900 USD in Australia.
