The acquisition of the Swiss company Allied World by the Canadian group Fairfax Financial was finalized on December 16, 2016. Allied World's shareholders will receive 54 USD per share for a total amount of 4.9 billion USD.
The deal has been unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies.
