As of December 31, 2016, Qatar Re posted a volume of gross written premiums of 1.25 billion USD against 1.15 billion USD in 2015. The net income of the reinsurer increased by 52% going from USD 25 million in 2015 to USD 38 million twelve months later. As for the combined ratio, it fell by 4.4 points to 98.2%.
