Mar 2017 The Moroccan group Saham has established a new life insurance company in Togo called Saham Assurance Vie Togo. This is the sixth company to market products for life, death and capitalization on the Togolese market.
The two most important life insurers, GTA and C2A Vie account for 45% of the market whereas the turnover of all of the life players amounted to 19.7 billion FCFA (328 million USD) in 2015. Saham Assurance Togo which operates in the non life class of business is the second non life insurer in terms of turnover in 2015 with more than 7.179 billion FCFA (11.9 million USD).
