Insurance price deemed too high in Morocco

Moroccan policyholders believe that their insurance rates are too onerous whereas the surveys conducted by the insurance and social welfare supervisory authority (ACAPS) say otherwise.

On average, Moroccan people spend 900 MAD (89 USD) per capita per year for their insurance plans, 320 MAD (32 USD) of which on life insurance and 580 MAD (57 USD) on non life policies. These figures place Moroccan tariffs in the ninth position in the Arab world and in 70th rank on the international level.

Eventually, motor tariffs are regulated by the State but the level of coverage remains adjustable according to the budget of each policyholder.
