Allianz has obtained consent of all stakeholders for the purchase of the remaining 33.5% stake of its subsidiary Allianz Irish Life Holdings (AILH). Its equity shareholding in the Irish life insurer will therefore rise from 66.5% to 100%.
The amount of the transaction nears 160 million EUR (168 million USD). AILH is the holding company of Allianz Ireland, the country’s second non life insurer on the market.
