Apr 2017 According to Standard & Poor's, the turnover of the Qatari insurance market shall increase by 10% over the next two years. This growth would be accounted for by the generalization of compulsory health insurance and by the development of infrastructure projects linked to the 2022 World Cup organisation.
The rating agency has put Qatar's non-life insurance in "intermediate risk" category. The market remains very concentrated with the top six insurers monopolizing 80% of the premiums.
