The decennial insurance pool has collected 33 million EGP (3.7 million USD) in premiums for the 2015/2016 fiscal year, which accounts for a 10% growth in one year. Decennial insurance is compulsory for new constructions.
Out of the 12 insurers, members of this pool, Royal Insurance detains a 41% share, followed by Egyptian Saudi Insurance House with 21% and by Misr General and Poverty Insurance which underwrites 13% of business.
