Ping An Insurance Group invests in the new technologies

Ping An Insurance Group, China's largest insurer, is creating a 1 billion USD fund to finance innovative projects in financial and medical technologies. Named Ping An Global Voyager Fund, the new organization will be based in Hong Kong. It will be run by Jonathan Larsen, a young executive who has recently joined the group.

The Chinese insurer has already invested in the new technologies. He set up an innovative start-up specializing in health insurance. Named "Ping An Good Doctor", the company raised for its first fiscal year a capital of 500 million USD. It is currently valued at 3 billion USD.
