Feb 2009 International Credit Bank (BIC) is turning to insurance brokerage. As of October 2008, the bank has been distributing insurance products of the National Insurance Company (ENSA) through a captive brokerage firm. According to BIC's board of directors, this new service is seen to be a first step for the launch of an insurance company in the future.
