According to the last customer satisfaction poll on life insurance conducted by (Sacsi), Metropolitan Life is ranking first, ahead of the life insurance companies operating in South Africa. It has been granted an 82.6 rating, well above the level of average insurance market which is set at 79 points. It is followed by Old Mutual (80.3), Liberty (78.1), Sanlam and Momentum with 77.5 points each and Discovery with 74 points.
As regards customer loyalty, Metropolitan also tops the list with a score of 72.9 points, followed by Old Mutual and Sanlam with 68 points, Liberty (67.7) and Discovery (64.5).
Generally speaking, customer loyalty in South Africa has improved by nearly 3% year-on-year going from 67.6 points in 2015 up to 69.5 points in 2016.
