According to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), insurance claims amounted to 111.7 billion SAR (29.8 billion USD) over the past eight years.
Health insurance alone accounts for 61% of this amount, that is 68.4 billion SAR (18.2 billion USD). Comes second non life insurance with a share of 37% for an amount of 41.6 billion SAR (11.1 billion USD).
With 1.7 billion SAR (453.5 million USD), pension and savings insurance accounts for about 2% of claims only.
