Jun 2017 According to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), insurance claims amounted to 111.7 billion SAR (29.8 billion USD) over the past eight years.
Health insurance alone accounts for 61% of this amount, that is 68.4 billion SAR (18.2 billion USD). Comes second non life insurance with a share of 37% for an amount of 41.6 billion SAR (11.1 billion USD).
With 1.7 billion SAR (453.5 million USD), pension and savings insurance accounts for about 2% of claims only.
