Jun 2017 An insurance pool for high-risk vehicles will soon be established in Turkey. This initiative follows the taxation, on April 12, 2017, of a guarantee ceiling on compulsory motor insurance premiums.
Faced with this requirement, some insurance companies refused to cover vehicles deemed too risky, hence the idea of creating the pool. The new body, which will be managed by the Turkish Motor Vehicles Bureau and controlled by the National Treasury, will offer an insurance solution for this category of policyholders.
