Mar 2010 QIC has posted a net profit on the rise by 4% reaching 532.8 million QAR (146.3 million USD). Underwriting results have progressed by 28.7% with 394.8 million QAR (108.4 million USD). More than 40% of the business comes from deals realized abroad. Gross premiums amount to 2.15 billion QAR (590.7 million USD), that is, 9.1% more than 2008. DIC, on its part, has posted a 10% increase in its net profits in 2009 attaining 52.1 million QAR (14.3 million USD). Its underwriting results for the same period have gone up by 13% with 107.4 million QAR (29.5 million USD) while the gross premiums volume stagnated at 316.5 million QAR (86.9 million USD).
