An infrastructure investment fund has been jointly set up by South African insurer Sanlam and Africa Infrastructure Securities (InfraSec). The new institution has been designed to finance infrastructure projects in Africa. It will be run from Ireland by a joint venture detained by the two-mentioned companies.
Kholofelo Molewa and Mickael Brooks, co-founders and executive officers of the fund justify the choice of Ireland by the business opportunities provided by the country.
