For the record, the sector posted a turnover of 347 million KWD (1.14 billion USD) in 2016, a 7.4% increase in comparison with 2015. During the year in question, local insurers disbursed 222 million KWD (727 million USD) in compensations versus 213 million KWD (702 million USD) in 2015.
