ZimRe embarks on a strategy of asset cession

ZimRe Holdings plans to sell its 30% stake in Nicoz Diamond to the National Social Security Authority (NSSA). The Zimbabwean group has also announced its intention to divest its shares in Emeritus Re and Continental Re. The financial resources generated from these operations will enable ZimRe to pursue its growth strategy.

The group which has decided to limit its presence on the Nigerian and South African insurance markets [4], plans however to consolidate its activity in Mozambique where it holds 51% of the capital of the local reinsurer Mozambique Re.
