The overall premiums underwritten by Saudi insurers in the course of the recent five years have reached 158 billion SAR (42.1 billion USD). Health insurance accounts for 52% of this amount, that is, 82 billion SAR (21.9 billion USD).
The non life class of business comes second with 45.5% of the market, that is, 72 billion SAR (19.2 billion USD).
Retirement and Savings insurance has reaped only 4 billion SAR (1 billion USD) in premiums, that is, 2.5% of the overall premium volume underwritten.
