Dec 2017 According to the insurance regulatory authority, the Tunisian market generated a turnover of 1.575 billion TND (639.1 million USD) by the end of September 2017, that is an increase of 7.7% compared to the same period of 2016.
It is motor insurance that accounts for these results with a 44.9% growth. Life insurance also displays an important progression at 29.2%.
During the first three quarters of 2017, the compensations paid to the insured amounted to 681.5 million TND (276.5 USD million USD). Motor insurance, alone, accounted for 53.3% of this amount.
