Oman Re member of the working group in charge of presenting the agricultural insurance in Oman

Omani farmers can henceforth underwrite agricultural insurance. Two types of coverage are available namely cost of production insurance and market price insurance.

The first compensate farmer's production costs while the second compensate farmers' production expenses and profit margins.

This initiative was launched by the Omani Government in partnership with Oman Re and the local insurers: National Life & General Insurance, Dhofar Insurance, Al Madina Takaful and Arabia Falcon Insurance.
